Welcome to RB PopWarner.org, the online home of the Rancho Bernardo Pop Warner Broncos!

Located in beautiful San Diego, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer programs for children 5 to 16 years of age in the Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain Ranch, 4S Ranch, and surrounding communities. Our programs teach fundamental values, skills, and knowledge that children will use throughout their lives.

If you have a love and respect for the game of football and you want to make the commitment, we encourage you to apply for a Head Coaching position with Rancho Bernardo Pop Warner Football. Application can be downloaded here (Must have Adobe Reader)

You will need to complete the RBPW Coaching Application, pass a criminal background check, attend the interview process, which may include as many as two interviews, be willing to attend various coaching preparation meetings and obtain a CPR and First Aid Card (this year no on line cards will be accepted).

More importantly you will need to commit yourself to working with youth football players and provide them the tools necessary to be competitive in order to have the chance to be successful.

Following up on a First Place finish at the 2008 Palomar Conference Cheer competition, the RBPW Midget Cheer Squad also took First Place in 2008 Wescon Regional Cheer Competition. Their amazing performance earned them an opportunity to compete in the National competition. The 2008 Pop Warner National Cheer & Dance Championships will take place on Monday, December 8th through Friday, December 12th at Disney’s Wide World of Sports™ Complex in Florida. Congratulations to the entire squad and their Head Coach Mandy Deramo. Great work girls!

The Rancho Bernardo Broncos Jr. Pee Wee Pop Warner Division II team, won the Palomar League Championship on Saturday against the Murrietta Hawkeyes at Poway High School. The Broncos won the game by a score of 14-8 in double overtime. Led by Head Coach Buddy Charbono, this is the first time in five years that a Rancho Bernardo Jr. Pee Wee team has won the Palomar League Championship.

Both the RB Broncos and the Murrietta Hawkeyes entered the game undefeated, each with an 8-0 record. The championship game ended regulation play with the score tied at 0-0. During overtime, each team was given the opportunity to score from the 10 yard line. In the first overtime, the Hawkeyes scored 8 points and the Broncos tied their score, taking the game into double overtime. In the second overtime, the Hawkeyes had second and goal when the RB Broncos intercepted a pass and ran it back to the 40 yard line, ending the possession for the Hawkeyes. During the Broncos final possession, they scored on a fourth down pass from the three-yard line, winning the game by a score of 14-8.

I am so proud of these boys,” says Head Coach Buddy Charbono. “We have an awesome team and coaching staff who work together to bring the best out of these boys on the field.”

As the Palomar Conference Champions, the RB Bronco Jr. Pee Wee team now advances to the quarter-finals of the Pop Warner Wescon Regional Playoffs to qualify for the Pop Warner Super Bowl. The 2008 Pop Warner Super Bowl will take place December 7th through December 13th at Disney’s Wide World of Sports™ Complex in Orlando, Florida.

The RB Broncos first Wescon Regional playoff game will be held at 10:00 am this Saturday, November 8, at Rancho Bernardo High School. The Broncos will be playing against the Mt. Baldy Conference Champions, the Rancho Cucamonga Wildcats. The RB Community is invited to come support your Jr. Pee Wee team. Admission is $5.00 and there will be a full snack bar.
