TEAM FORMATION POLICY
RBPW Cheer Program has implemented a simplified Age Based Division process for all team formations to support our top priority and commitment of maintaining every cheerleader’s safety. Cheerleaders receive a priority based on a first-come, first-served basis during registration period. If a team becomes completely full, a waitlist will be created. Waitlist registrants are notified if and when space becomes available. Placements are only completed by Board of Directors. Head Coaches are not involved in placements.
Late Registration: Interested participants who do not enroll by standard registration deadline will be placed on a waiting list. After all prior cheerleader team placements are completed, participants may be added if space is available and it’s before our vendors supplemental uniform order deadline. A $50 late fee will be charged to the Standard Registration Fee to cover all expedited processing and shipping costs associated with supplemental uniform orders.
Cheerleaders are categorized into eligible Age Based Division levels as follows:
5-6 Year Olds Age Based Division
An introductory, developmental and Non-Competitive team. There is one Showcase Performance in October, at the West Coast Conference Competition in October. Participation is expected of all rostered cheerleaders.
7-15 Year Olds Aged Based Divisions
Cheerleaders will be placed on the eligible Age Based division as outlined below. In addition to the Sideline component, this also entails a Competition component to each division level. Please refer to the Competition Acknowledgement for an outline of Competition schedules and events. Participation is expected of all rostered cheerleaders.
RBPW AGE BASED TEAM DIVISONS BREAKDOWN
The age cut offs is outline as beginning August 1st and running through July 31st of the following calendar year. Which means, for appropriate placement, the registering cheerleader’s age is determined by their age on the date of July 31st. Once registration is closed and total number registered players and coach volunteers is known, then formal team division placements will be announced.
The following Rancho Bernardo Pop Warner Age Based Divisions are subject to change based on total number of registered players and available coaches while simultaneously abiding by the established Pop Warner Age Matrix -Cheer
